I am from a little town in southern Italy and I soon started travelling to build up my future and follow my passion for Biology. I had my Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences in the Univerisity of Ferrara, followed by a Master’s Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology in the University of Trento. There I started discovering research and got interested in Neurobiology. I conducted a thesis internship in Dulbecco Telethon Laboratory Of Biology Of Synapses focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorder. After graduation I joined the Behavioural Neuroscience Laboratory in Lund University, where the focus was on Parkison’s Disease. Both these experiences and the huge desire to contribute to science, pushed me towards academy and to start a PhD program in Edinburgh University, part of a fascinating network such as the Syn2Psy which will offer me the opportunity to be in an international environment.
